Welcome to Organic Foods and Café. These are the terms and conditions governing your access to and use of the website www.organicfoodsandcafe.com. By accepting these terms and conditions (including the linked information herein), and by using the Site, you represent that you agree to comply with these terms and conditions with Al Accad Department Stores (trading as Organic Foods and Café) (“we”, “us” or “Organic Foods and Café”) in relation to your use of the Site (the “User Agreement”). We reserve the right to change and amend these terms and conditions. Any changes we make will be deemed to have come into effect on the date that they have been posted on the website. You are responsible for reading the terms and conditions. When you place an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.

About Us:

Organic Foods and Café is a family run organic supermarket and café that sells fresh organic and biodynamic food, supplements, skincare, cosmetics, baby items and household cleaning products. We opened our first store in Satwa, Dubai in 2004. Organic Foods and Cafe currently supplies over 10,000 hormone and chemical free products direct from family run farms throughout the world.

We do not buy from the open market, nor from traders. We have a selection of handpicked farmers whom we have personally visited (and regularly pay a visit to) and who have the same values we do.

Trading license:

Trading License: Al Accad Department Stores is a sole proprietorship, and is a fully licensed company trading as Organic Foods and Café, a locally registered company governed by the laws of the UAE. All receipts, invoices and payment details will be made through Al Accad Department Stores.

Online shopping:

Become a member on the site? In order for us to deliver to you, you will need to become a member of the Organic Foods and Cafe website. All your details will be treated with the utmost privacy and security. Security is very important to us. We will require your delivery address, your contact and payment details. We will then give you an account number and ask you to set a password for your account. Please make sure your details are kept somewhere you can remember as this will help us to locate your account if you call or email us. Once your account has been set up, you’ll be able to view your order summary again in your ‘shopping cart’ page.

Online orders:

All orders submitted through our www.organicfoodsandcafe.com website are confirmed by e-mail. No order should be deemed to be accepted without this confirmation. All orders are fulfilled subject to these terms and conditions. It might not be possible for us to accept orders for delivery to certain areas; in this case collection must be made from our stores or from a pre-arranged pick-up point. All orders are subject to availability. Should any of the items be out of stock at the time of placing your order, you will be notified via email and we will suggest an alternative if possible. Alternatively you will be offered a refund for this item (see refunds and returns).

Delivery Terms & Conditions

DUBAI: Free delivery for orders above AED100. For orders below AED100, we charge an AED20 delivery fee + AED3 service fee.

ABU DHABI: A minimum of AED100 order is required to place an order. Free delivery for orders above AED250. For orders from Dhs100 to AED249, we charge an AED8 delivery fee + AED3 service fee.

Sharjah: A minimum of AED200 order is required to place an order. Free delivery for orders above AED400. For orders from Dhs200 to AED399, we charge an AED30 delivery fee + AED3 service fee.

Ajman: A minimum of AED500 order is required to place an order. A delivery fee of AED50 will be charged on all orders + AED3 service fee.

RAK: A minimum of AED500 order is required to place an order. A delivery fee of AED50 will be charged on all orders + AED3 service fee.

AL AIN: A minimum of AED500 order is required to place an order. A delivery fee of AED50 will be charged on all orders + AED3 service fee.

Payments and refunds

We offer two methods of payment:

Online payment through our secure payment gateway (Mashreq bank) You are now able to pay online for your purchases: we accept Visa and Mastercard. When you opt to make an online payment for your purchases, you will only be charged for the items which will be delivered. Upon confirmation of your order, you will receive a confirmation email with the items purchased. We will contact you to confirm a delivery time and date, as well as your final order (should there be any missing items). A final confirmation email will be sent to you with the final amount and confirmed items to be delivered. This is the amount that will be charged to your credit card. Any cancellations of orders paid for online need to be made in writing within 24 hours. Your card will then not be debited and the cancellation of the purchase will appear in your next bank statement. Terms and conditions will vary according to YOUR payment card. There are no charges from OFC. Payment by cash or credit card on delivery (the customer needs to be present to sign the receipt). If you are not at home, payment must be left in a secure place for the driver to collect, or with a designated person. Payment will still be requested if you are not available to collect your order.

Currency:

Prices quoted are in UAE Dirhams and all payments are to be made in UAE Dirhams.

Refunds, returns and stock availability:

Non-perishable items can be returned in an Organic Foods and Café shop within one week (with receipt).We cannot offer refunds for fresh produce. No baby food or perishables can be returned. At Organic Foods and Café we will work hard to only deliver the freshest and best products, and to keep the items on the website up to date. Due to the nature of Organic foods, and the fact that we work with small family suppliers, some items may no longer be available between the time of order and the time of delivery. Should a product no longer be available between the time of placing your order and the time of delivery, we will contact you by email to offer alternatives. Should you not wish to receive an alternative we will amend the order, and your receipt, prior to delivery.

Privacy policy and Website Content

Privacy and Security Policy:

Organic Foods and Cafe is committed to protecting customers’ privacy and ensuring that all transactions are processed with utmost security. Organic Foods and Cafe does not store any credit/debit card information on its servers or database, all details will be processed to the payment gateway directly. Personal information will only be asked to ensure efficient processing of your order and will be saved in a secure database within Organic Foods and Cafe. Organic Foods and Cafe does not sell, trade, or rent any personal information to outside parties unless otherwise compelled by the law. The security and privacy of your personal information is very important to us at Organic Foods and Cafe. We recognize that security is a major concern among on-line shoppers, and thus we employ state-of-the-art data encryption technology to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once received.

Customer Information:

Other personal data; such as your login details, home address, e-mail and billing information, are stored in a highly secure systems to ensure that all information you provide us with remains fully protected. Only those with proper authorization can view this data. Passwords are stored on our servers using one-way encryption systems. We use SHA512 (Secure Hash Algorithm) – which is a cryptographic hashing algorithm that is considered unbreakable.

Vouchers:

Please register on the website to use the vouchers. Online vouchers are valid only for the duration speficified on the campaign, for new customers only, and only for one purchase. Vouchers cannot be used in the shops, only online. The discount applies to online purchases, exclusive of delivery charge if applicable. A delivery charge of 50dhs applies for orders below 250dhs in Dubai. Vouchers are not applicable for customers in Oman.
