Each bee pollen pellet contains over two million flower pollen grains. Bees collect pollen from flowers as they forage and press the grains together with tiny amounts of honey to seal it into pellets. Pollen is the principle source of nourishment within a bee colony, being rich in protein and containing more amino acids than beef, eggs, or cheese of equal weight.
